One of the most iconic covers of the Golden Age! 1st app Joker; 1st app Catwoman (Spring 1940); Comic Book Impact rating of 10 (CBI)
One of the most important comics of the Golden Age, featuring one of the most iconic covers, Batman #1 is the perfect cornerstone for any new GA collector; a historic comic that only increases in value and popularity year after year, featuring the debut of fan favorites the Joker and the Cat, later dubbed Catwoman.

There have easily been over a hundred titles devoted to the Caped Crusader, more than Superman and Spider-Man combined. Starring in several serials, animated series, TV shows, movies, video games, novelizations, record albums, and virtually every other medium, Batman is omnipresent. Along with the Boy Wonder, the Dynamic Duo is universally recognized, and this issue, Batman #1, is a milestone key as it serves to announce that Batman and Robin are here to stay.

A game-changing comic, Batman #1 is highly sought-after in any grade, and this copy carries a miraculous 7.5 from CGC. This book is restored, with a small amount of color touch, pieces added to the cover, a sealed spine split, a replaced bottom staple, and some reinforcement to the cover and interiors. It earned a Slight (A-1) grade for its restoration, meaning that the restoration was minimal, with all work performed with the goal of better conservation in mind. It shows how thoughtfully it was done, with how crisp and clean the cover looks. The yellow background and red silhouette look fantastic, as well as the central figures of Batman and Robin, and the classic Batman logo. This really is a stunning book. This is a very handsome copy of the first appearance of Joker and Catwoman, as well as the debut issue of Batman's own title? Bid title on this momentous key!

Overstreet Guide 2021 VF- (7.5) value = $359,625.
