ComicConnect Calling for Consignments As Event Auction 58 Launches in June!
ComicConnect proudly announces the upcoming Event Auction 58 in the wake of a record-breaking EA57, along with the next Mega Monthly Auction starting Monday, April 15th! “Our first Event Auction of 2024 has shown consignors why we remain the world’s premier auction house for vintage comic books and original art,” said ComicConnect President Vincent Zurzolo. “Now we’re excited to work with top collectors once again in presenting an amazing selection of comics, art, and memorabilia to Event Auction 58.”
Event Auction 58 will launch on June 3rd, with sessions closing from June 24-28. Among other outstanding items, EA58 will be showcasing the first and only CGC graded 9.9 Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1 of 1) white pages, matched by an immaculate cover and beautiful square-bond spine. This exceptional find features the first New X-Men Team, one of the most beloved comics of all time. After setting a new sales record for Detective Comics #27 in EA57, ComicConnect will also offer a striking 5.0 Detective Comics #38, with the debut of Robin the Boy Wonder. Additional lots include the first appearance of Dr. Fate in a sharp 6.0 More Fun Comics #55 at a sharp 6.0, and a rare investment-level 3.5 Amazing Fantasy #15.
The selection of outstanding Original Art pieces is also growing, with new additions such as an incredible spread of Adam Kubert’s pencils for Wolverine #88, with the beloved mutant slashing after Deadpool (with Mark Farmer inks). Collectors will be following John Romita Sr.’s signed cover for Nightshade’s memorable debut in Captain America #164, plus Frank Miller and Al Milgrom’s brutal battle cover for Morpheus’ first appearance in Moon Knight #12.
